Amway, the world's leading direct selling company, has unveiled its 2024 Global Impact Report, showcasing a year of strategic growth and commitment to sustainability.
With a dedicated workforce of over 14,000 employees and a vast network exceeding one million distributors worldwide, Amway achieved $7.4 billion in sales in 2024, reaffirming its position as the number one direct selling company globally.
In a bold move to enhance its operations, Amway is investing $127.6 million into its Ada, Michigan headquarters. This substantial investment encompasses the development of a state-of-the-art nutrition manufacturing center and a cutting-edge research and development pilot plant facility. These initiatives are set to create 260 new jobs, bolstering the local economy and reinforcing Amway's commitment to innovation.
"This plan includes upgrades to our manufacturing, quality control, and research and development capabilities as well as office facilities," the company stated. "It's a commitment to our future and to better enabling our impact around the world."
Amway's corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in 2024 were noteworthy. The company reported 47,000 volunteer hours dedicated to various initiatives, including the Amway Taiwan Love & Companionship Tutoring Program, the Amway India Project Nari Shakti focusing on women's economic empowerment, environmental cleanup projects through Amway Japan, and crisis response efforts via Amway Thailand.
Sustainability remained a focal point for Amway. The company successfully reduced its use of virgin plastic by 234,000 pounds in 2024. Additionally, Amway made significant strides in energy efficiency and carbon emissions reduction at its headquarters and global offices. Notably, 30% of the packaging for select Nutrilite All Plant Protein canisters now comprises post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.
Addressing the growing consumer demand for health and wellness solutions, Amway introduced new products focusing on Morning Nutrition and Gut Health. These offerings align with the company's mission to support holistic well-being.
In a significant leadership transition, Michael Nelson was appointed as Amway's new President and CEO in September 2024. Reflecting on this change, Board Co-Chairs Doug DeVos and Steve Van Andel expressed confidence in Nelson's ability to steer the company towards a sustainable and prosperous future.
Amway's 2024 Global Impact Report underscores the company's unwavering dedication to growth, innovation, and social responsibility, setting a robust foundation for the years ahead. |
